Nothing says summer quite like a glass of homemade mint lemonade (even when it’s not quite summer). This refreshing drink combines fresh lemon juice, orange juice, and a fragrant mint simple syrup for a bright, citrusy flavor that’s both cooling and invigorating.

Topped with ginger ale for a touch of fizz, this easy mint lemonade recipe is perfect for backyard gatherings, picnics, or relaxing on a warm afternoon. Best of all, the mint syrup is simple to make and adds a delicious aroma that takes this classic lemonade to the next level.

Ingredients
1 cup sugar
2 cups fresh mint leaves, with stems
1 cup fresh lemon juice
1 cup fresh orange juice
1 cup ginger ale

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar with 3 cups of water. Bring to a boil over high heat, reduce heat, and simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. Add mint, remove from heat, cover, and let liquid steep for 1 hour.
  3. Strain liquid into a bowl.
  4. In a large pitcher or punch bowl, combine mint syrup, lemon juice, orange juice, and ginger ale. Serve over ice.
