I'm assuming that you don't drain the tomatoes after boiling, but you don't state how much water is used in the boiling.

It's nice to know that I can make a lovely tomato soup without flour, as most recipes I've seen call for it. As stated in the post, flour can be added if one wants a thicker soup, but that is not a requirement for my personal taste, especially since I cannot have grain products in my diet at this time.
Naomi - Instead of flour, use tomato powder. Tomato powder is made from the skins of the tomato which are dried either in a dehydrator or in your oven, until completely dried and then powdered. You can then use it in different dishes instead of flour for a thickening agent. It actually gives a slight tomato taste when used, so remember than when you use it in your recipe. In the tomato soup, you will not notice the tomato powder like you will notice the flavor of raw flour.
The tomatoes are ripening on the vines I tried your recipe and discover one ingredient missing and that is flour, It thickens the soup nicely
