We’ve got a winner! This Strawberry Chicken Salad took first place in the 2026 Old Farmer’s Almanac Recipe Contest, and one bite makes it easy to see why. Tender chicken, juicy strawberries and grapes, crunchy celery, and sweet onions come together with a creamy curry-lime dressing for a delicious mix of sweet, savory, tangy, and fresh.

Served on crisp lettuce leaves, it’s a colorful dish that’s perfect for a light lunch, summer picnic, or anytime you want to serve up something a little extra special.

Ingredients
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons prepared mango chutney
1 tablespoon lime juice
1/2 teaspoon lime zest
1/2 teaspoon curry powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups diced or shredded cooked chicken
3/4 cup diced celery
3/4 cup red grapes, halved
1/4 cup diced red onion
1 pint fresh strawberries, sliced
lettuce leaves, for serving

Instructions

In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, chutney, lime juice, lime zest, curry powder, and salt. Add chicken, celery, grapes, and onions. Toss to combine. Cover and chill.

Just before serving, gently toss strawberries with chicken salad. Serve on lettuce leaves.
