For anyone wishing to change this recipe, I suggest that you go online and find the stevia equivalent to sugar used; also try the other flours but search for substitution guidelines also.
No guarantee the first try will be perfect, but with a bit of effort, I am sure it can be altered to your needs.
Made this yesterday, (I do not bake, because i am not good at it) This bread made me change my mind. I would love to have this on hand at all times. This was so good my husband and i could not stop raving about it. My question is how does it freeze or does it, that way I can have a loaf for visitors. Thank You So Much for this Recipe. It is the BEST
I used the wide hole side of my box grater on the apples this time instead of dicing. I liked the resulting texture much more. Try it, just watch those fingers. LOL
I love making this recipe for my group of friends. My friend Arthur Morgan says he really enjoys the autumn taste that comes from the apple. After I finish baking it I turn round to my good friend Arthur and always ask him just one more and then we are done.
Can you give the type of apples that you use as reference? I'm curious if it matters; say Granny Smith vs Fuji or Honey Crisp? Any input is appreciated.
Thanks!
Myself, I have used other apples, such as braeburn, yellow delicious, gala, granny smith, fugi etc. just to name a few. My favorite is Mutsu and has been for years and will always be my favorite.
My great grandson is allergic to bananas so I have been using apples instead. This recipe is close to mine but I also add 1/2 cup of coconut to mine and use pecans.
I am excited to try this recipe it sounds amazing I’m always looking for new apple recipes to try as fall is my favorite time of the year!
Why can't u use a more healthier alternative to sugar and white flour in all your recipes like stevia and buckwheat or even whole grain flour? Dr. Oz's recipes are far more healthier than yours!!!!
