This is interesting, referring to the calculator and example. Entering a vegetable an clicking on the "FIND" three bits of data appears, GALLONS, SPACING AND PLANTS PER, nice. The example for cucumbers mentions "The depth of the pot—important for root development—should also be at least 12 inches." OK fine for this veggie, however diff veggies require diff depths. Is 12 inches universal for all, can't imagine, or a safe depth for all? I've done a lot of container gardening and use the tote boxes at Walmart, cheap, a n good size. Get two tomato plants in one. Have 10 of them producing. Haven't done berries yet, but some of your articles state it can be done. I believe it.
If the Calculator had the soil depth info also available would settle the curiosity factor. Thanks, great info you disburse, appreciated.
