And guess what? You can enjoy this delightful combo effortlessly in a slow cooker. Just follow the pork cooking instructions, and voila, a cozy, flavorful meal awaits!

Ingredients
3 to 4 pounds lean pork (boneless is preferred, but boned chops can be used)
6 cups applesauce
2 tablespoons apple pie spice
6 red-skin potatoes, halved
4 carrots, peeled and coarsely cut
2 cups white pearl onions, peeled
salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
2 firm tart apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Cut pork into large chunks. Put pork, applesauce, and apple pie spice into a large pot. Cover and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to a low simmer and cook for 4 hours.

  2. One to 1-1/2 hours before cooking finishes, add potatoes, carrots, and onions and stir. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. Fifteen minutes before cooking finishes, add apples and stir. Remove pork, vegetables, and apples to a large platter and pour 1 cup of sauce over it all. Serve any remaining sauce on the side.
