Is this the time to cut locust trees? I mistakenly cut and they all sprouted several shoots so now I have way more to cut. Hoping for an answer as to when is the best sign/time. Thanks!

[link removed] Go by the dates at the above website. With a chainsaw of your choosing, cut about 1-2" deep around the trunk of the tree. This will soon kill the tree, and you can cut it down any time after it is good and dead. If you want to insure nothing grows back, a little glyphosate (RoundUp) concentrate (do NOT mix with water) on the stump will take care of that. Use a paint brush to coat the entire stump.
