Chocolate Oatmeal Bars

An easy, chewy, oatmeal bar with chocolate! So simple, so delicious.

Ingredients
2 squares semisweet chocolate
1/3 cup butter
1/4 cup light corn syrup
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups old-fashioned oats
1/4 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

Preheat oven to 425°F. Coat an 8x8-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

In a double boiler, melt together chocolate, butter, corn syrup, and sugar. Add salt and vanilla, and then stir in oats and nuts. Press into prepared dish and bake for 12 minutes. When cool, cut into bars.
