Where can you find the edition of The Old Farmer’s Almanac that’s best for you?
The Different Almanac Versions
We publish The Old Farmer’s Almanac in paperback, hardcover, and digital formats. You can see more details and order in our online store.
The paperback version is available in two versions: the “classic” version which does have a hole in the upper corner, or the softcover bookstore edition which is step up from the classic Almanac. It features 32 extra reference pages, better paper, and a more durable cover. This edition has no hole in the corner because the drill can not cut through the high-quality page and cover stock.

Which Stores Carry the Almanac?
In retail stores across North America, you’ll find the paperback edition only—either in classic paperback or the premium bookstore edition (as described above).
The new Almanac comes out every year in late August/early September—available across North America in bookstores, hardware and home improvement stores, grocery stores, and other outlets where books and magazines are sold. See our Store Locator to find a store near you!
Note: We no longer publish regional U.S. editions. You can find all the local information in our National Edition. We also publish a Canadian Edition of the classic Old Farmer’s Almanac. It is available in Canada on newsstands and in book, hardware, and grocery stores or in our online store.
To answer a common question: We do not publish a traditional large-print edition. However, our black-and-white Hardcover Collector’s Edition offers slightly larger pages than our paperback edition, whiter paper, and high-quality print, making the text and images crisper and easier to read.
The Digital Edition of The Old Farmer’s Almanac makes it handy for those readers who like to access the Almanac online anytime and anywhere. This online version not only allows you to read the complete contents of the Almanac but also lets you e-mail, share, print, and search by keyword.
