Winter will be colder than normal, with below-normal precipitation. Snowfall will be below normal in the north and above south. The coldest periods will occur in mid- and late December, early and late January, and early February, while the most snow will arrive in late December, late January, early and late February, and mid-March. April and May will be warmer than normal, with below-normal rainfall in the north and above-normal south. Summer will be cooler than normal in the north and warmer south; rainfall will be below normal. The hottest periods are expected in early June and early July.
