They are romanticizing what a real farmer does. #1 the women do not wear shorts. I grew up on a farm in my teen years, I went to work one day in shorts & I thought my daddy was going to beat my butt. He run me back to the house to get dressed. lol I still like growing things but thankfully I don't depend on it for a living. There are too many things that can go wrong. Weather, pests just plain bad luck. I respect the farmers still working but it is not for the faint of heart.
