If you are growing your own catnip it is very important to cut it before it flowers (or before it goes to seed) or you will have it all over your yard! When I loved into this house 3 years ago, the previous owner had it growing, I left it for the bees because they love it! Now I have it growing everywhere, in the flowers, veggies, lawn, driveway and I cannot get rid of it!
