Once I made an apple pie and there was something weird going on with the crust after it was cooked. It was fibrous. Well, you know when you buy frozen pie crust, it's two crusts separated by a sheet of wax paper? I separated the two crusts, but didn't see the paper & poured the filling in on top of it. Yeah, I cooked the paper right along with the pie.
