Even though the hanging "pitcher plant" you included is considered pitchered, it is a Nepenthes. I grow them. They will not tolerate full sun like the upright Sarracenia. They are a tropical plant, although you can grow them in greenhouses. I have mine hanging in a very bright window which receives NO direct sun.
They also require high humidity if you want to see pitchers develop.
