What Kind of Indoor Grow Light Is Best?
When and what fertilizer to use when transplanting veggies to next pots (Under lights)?
Maybe you can help me, I've got the growing figured out but how to cut and keep lettuces from wilting is a problem.
Oops.. just saw realized you did say what your crop was. Lettuce can be easily over watered and get too hot if your light is too close. More powerful LED lights need to be kept a good 12” to 24” above the canopy depending on your plant. Some LED lights have dials to reduce the lights intensity giving you the ability to keep the light closer. There aren’t many grow carts that I have seen that are built correctly for giving proper distance from your plant canopy. Usually you end up making your own.
Could be a lot of things. Wilting vs drooping plants. Depends on a number of things. Excessive heat can happen if a light is too close. Overwatering can droop a plant and under watering can wilt it. They both look a bit similar. Is your pkant one that likes to stay moist or dry out between waterings? Are there other signs of heat issues like burning edges of leaves or bleached out color if the foliage? Even fertilizers can cause problems if they’re too strong. Send me a pic if you’d like. I don’t care what you’re growing whether it’s a houseplant, vegetable or cannabis.
I bought a multi goose necked stand lamp one year and found led grow lights on amazon that work just as well as the expensive grow lamps. During the winter it shines on the large potted plants. During the summer, I use the lamp with regular bulbs to light the same wall. The shades are in primary colors and it compliments my decor.
