Yes the wavelengths from LED and CFL are in "shortwave" form which is very dis-harmonizing to anything living! (Humans, animals, and plant life) Very disrupting to health.
Incandescents are "longwave" which is in harmony with the human body and plant life.
But the plants can still survive from the artificial light emitted (from led and cfl) as long as there is some blue in them. The invisible short wavelengths they emit just arent healthy thats all. (And damaging to the eyes as well)
They used to sell blue daylight incandescents but they are hard to find now unfortunately.
But saying all that, I do have LED grow lights tucked away in another room over top of my turmeric plants. I dont use this room much so it is the perfect spot for these lights to be on.
