We live in northern Ontario and the whippoorwill can be heard each night early spring into summer. When we moved up this house which is mostly bush it would sing around 10pm and then around 4am each time about an hour. For some strange reason this year it started it’s chanting in the spring and seems to sing at least 5 times a night for long periods. Not really sure why this is???
