These Apple Brownies are the quintessential fall treat. If you like cinnamon, sugar, apples, and cake-like brownies, this is the recipe for you! Perfect when enjoyed with an afternoon cup of coffee or tea.

Ingredients
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, melted
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2-1/2 cups peeled, cored and chopped apples
1 cup chopped nuts, plus more for topping
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
cinnamon sugar, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13x9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine butter, sugar, and eggs. Stir in apples and nuts.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. 
  4. Fold into apple mixture. Pour batter into the prepared pan. 
  5. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and cinnamon sugar. 
  6. Bake for 50 minutes or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean.
