Harold F. Blaisdell was one of the Northeast’s most seasoned and respected freshwater anglers. His insightful articles appeared in leading sporting publications such as Field & Stream, Sports Afield, Outdoor Life, and Fly Fisherman. He is best known for his book Tricks That Take Fish (Skyhorse, 2012), celebrated as one of the most practical and down-to-earth fishing manuals ever written. Blaisdell passed away in 1985, leaving behind a legacy of wisdom and passion for the sport.
