Summer will be warmer than usual, with the hottest periods in mid- to late June and mid-August. Rainfall will be below normal in the east, above normal central and west. September and October will be cooler than normal, with the hottest period in early to mid-September. Rainfall will be above normal. Watch for a tropical storm in mid-September.
