We use the almanac to determine when to castrate livestock...believe it or not if you follow their dates your animals have better success rate and little to no bleeding! Donkeys are very susceptible to dying upon castrating so we follow the Almanacs days to castrate. Works great!

I have worked outside for 48 years of my life being a boat builder repairman and customizer. I do have to look for long-term weather to organize my life. I want the places I go is the old farmers almanac. You are pretty damn accurate thank you.

I was worried it was this book not going to be available anymore… whew!! I’ve used the old farmers almanac every year since old enough to garden independently and I’m 54 now. Very dependent on it… love the gardening stories and the weather predictions … our area is difficult to navigate without the old farmers almanac. Moral? I’m addicted to the book. Dependent on it. My Grandmama thought me how to read and use for our area and apply many of the gardening tips… even our nursery uses it so easier to speak with them re proper plants to grow in our area… etc.
