I think Indigenous peoples day is fine. I would go to an event with pleasure. I just wish some folks would stop talking about non-indeginous people like we're illegimate children! There's no denying the wrongs that were done to native Americans, I'm not sure what the best way to make up for that is but I am sure we can't and shouldn't just pack up and go back to our former lands. That's just silly.
I am sure that there are too many people who just enjoy holding a grudge. So, they'll never let it go. My husband, who is descended from 2 tribes , Choctaw and Chickasaw ( on the second he thinks that's the one), as well as being Irish , English and French, is not one who holds grudges.
