Frequently Asked Questions

How often should you cut your hair for growth?

For healthy growth, aim to trim your hair every 8 to 12 weeks. Regular trims prevent split ends from traveling up the strand, helping your hair stay strong and appear longer over time.

Does cutting your hair make it grow faster?

Not exactly! Hair grows from your scalp, not your ends—but regular trims keep your hair healthy and prevent breakage, which makes it seem like it’s growing faster.

Is it good to cut hair on a Full Moon?

Many people believe that cutting your hair on a full moon encourages faster, thicker growth—an idea rooted in lunar beauty traditions. While it’s not scientifically proven, it is an age-old practice with plenty of anecdotal evidence!

However, our calculations use more than the Moon. We have calculated our Best Days based on the Moon phase as well as its astrological location and planetary positions for more precise results. Try it out and tell us what you think!

Do you follow a lunar hair-cutting chart? What have been your experiences with the best days for haircuts?

I always grew up understanding that you cut your hair for growth on a new moon. New beginning water sign is best? The farmer's almanac recommendations do work though

It’s never been wrong!

Ok, I'll bite. I have 10/13/24 thru 10/15/24 in my calendar. I'm going to see if it will work better if I trim some all 3 days! I won't trim my bangs though. They grow too fast!

I trim mine every month on the day for growth every month and started I year ago and it is down my back now and my hair loss is coming back in!

How much do you trim each time? Just barely trim or more substantial? I'm going to start trimming by this and curious how you do it

Darn I didn’t see this and I just cut my hair today!!!! What does that mean?

It just means you will have to do it again, and the cut didn’t encourage growth. Never cut your hair during a mercury retrograde period. If you can don’t mess with your hair at all?

I have never had a problem with my hair growing. Since I discovered the calendar days, I try to follow it: 1. To remind myself that trimming hair, allegedly, encourages growth 2. And, if I want to try something wild, maybe it will grow faster if I don't like it!

These recommendations do work. I was having problems growing my hair a couple of years ago and since I started following the dates my hair has grown thicker. I am so happy I found this information.
