First Snow Contest 2024

What Counts as the First Snow?
We’re not talking about a dusting that comes and goes. To qualify as a real snowfall, there are two conditions:
- There must be 2 inches of snow to cover and blanket the ground in our yard. (Yes, we will use the measuring stick!)
- The snow must stick for at least 24 hours.
Giveaway Prize and Rules
We’ll give away The 2025 Old Farmer’s Almanac Weather Calendar to 10 lucky winners, chosen randomly from all those readers who guessed the correct date. If you don’t get picked, you’ll have the satisfaction that you guessed correctly!
Only one entry is allowed per person. See complete official rules.
