I live in NJ (CT is only 185 miles away at the most) and never have to bring in catmint. It reseeds itself every single year whether in the pot, out of the pot, seeds carried by animals/wind, etc. If pot has not reseeded, I just look around the yard and will find new seedlings. I get so many that I give them away whenever I can. It can be invasive ... just like mint !!!
